Distinguished Professional Service Award
Honors outstanding service at the local, state or national level that reflects a significant contribution to the Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinities or promotes positive policy changes that enhance the well-being of men.
Eligibility
Eligibility criteria include long-term service contributions and positive impact on Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinities or public policy. Nominee does not need to be a member of Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinity.

2026 Winner: Dr. Holly Sweet
Dr Holly Sweet is a psychologist in independent practice in the Boston area and cofounder of the Cambridge Center for Gender Relations, an organization devoted to improving understanding and communication between women and men. She developed and taught a number of psychology seminars at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology including the award winning seminar Sex Roles and Relationships, and established GenderWorks, a peer education program focused on improving gender empathy. Dr Sweet was elected the first female president of Division 51 and received the Practitioner of the Year Award in 2005. She has written or edited several books on gender and psychotherapy, including: Gender in the Therapy Hour: Voices of Female Clinicians Working Men, and #MeToo-Informed Therapy: Counseling Approaches for Men, Women and Couples.
